Western BioFuels is involved in the production of renewable fuels from agricultural crops or organic matter. We believe in sustainable development and sound business practices to ensure quality products and financial stability. As such, WBF will begin construction of a large capacity canola seed crushing facility by early 2009. This facility, located near Lavoy, Alberta, will crush locally grown canola for industrial use, focused primarily on the production of biodiesel. The plant will begin processing canola seed by mid-2010 through established feedstock channels in Western Canada. More than 2/3rd's of our annual oil production is contracted in long-term off-take agreements.

Farmers from the draw area will participate in the project both from an ownership and supply perspective. Corporate partners will be announced shortly, who will provide value-add services to the project.

A biodiesel production unit will be built in time for government mandates to take effect in 2012, which will be capable of producing approximately 190 MLPY or 50 MGPY of B100 fuel.
